Jimmy and I went to high school together. I was also active Army at the time of his death and was honored to be asked to be a pallbearer and honor guard during his funeral. I had the opportunity to visit the "Wall" for the first time about three years ago while in DC on a business trip. Two of my associates and I went to the memorial and I was able to find Jimmy's name engraved on that tall dark panel. Running my fingers over his engraved name caused me to weep uncontrollably. To this day I can still remember seeing him, in full dress uniform, under the glass of his casket. He is still in my heart and still in my prayers. Thank you for letting me share this with you. |
